Anonymous Survey

It’s that time of year again.  Time for the “anonymous” employee survey.  Rolling my eyes and shaking my head right now.  My thought is, does HR or any person in management really believe that any employee thinks this survey is anonymous?

What would be our first clue?  Is it the fact that they have told us that we can’t share our survey link with another employee?  Or is it as simple as everyone having their own IP address?  Yet again, maybe it’s the fact that my supervisor comes by and tells me I haven’t filled it out yet and can I do it by the deadline.  How do you know I specifically out of 149 employees haven’t done it yet?

I personally feel insulted that they tell us this every year.  Just be honest and tell us they have an employee satisfaction survey for us to fill out, and a third party will be putting results together.  Employees want transparency.  We want a safe working environment with decent benefits.  If we have that, most people will be content.

Gotta go. Need to start thinking of HR appropriate responses for this survey. Or maybe I’ll just get some help from AI. All’s fair in war and employee satisfaction surveys!
